Classic Nostalgic Music

I should have blogged this last midnight night (okay, 12:35 AM to be exact) if it weren't for the internet connection. Anyways, I had a pretty good sound trip of all the old songs I had on my player. And while these songs were played, I had this sudden feeling. I do not know what this is called, or why did this happen. It just did.

Billy Joel sings to me as the night grows deeper,

together with Cat Stevens and Bonnie Tyler

A little of Johnny Cash and Don McLean,

some of Etta James and of Queen

With Simon and Garfunkel singing together

this night just keeps on getting better

Nostalgia would come meet me

And take me to another galaxy

Unexplainable feeling I have right now

Childhood memories would return somehow

That Magic Dragon of Peter, Paul and Mary

And the Beatles' Let it Be

would remind me of sometime, somewhere

when life was much easier and better

it's late i know, but I listening to Mariah Carey

would lead me listen more fervently

I often have this feeling yearning

when i'm at some place, there's thing something

i know i cannot really explain

now i'm stuck with Shania Twain

I'll miss this moment, before it's gone

till then I'll be listening to Dolly Parton

Let me pretend with the Platters

and dream with the Everly Brother

Let me listen to Glenn Frey's Lover's Moon,

and the Tears in Heaven of Eric Clapton

I'll not forget John Denver and the Cranberries

and other legendaries.

And as I sleep, I'll not forget

all those singers I haven't heard yet

and all the other singers I know of

I'll listen to them as I drowse off.
