However, when my anger cooled down, I watched it again, and my view on this video changed forever. I would just like to express my own opinion on this matter. I don't mean to bring people down or make anyone angry.
First, it presented some phrases introducing himself, and how badly he wants to stop the oligarchy in the Philippines. He said he will stop it. He calls everyone to follow him in his movement. Now what?
Then, he showed a montage of hungry children. He said that 3,000,000 children are hungry in the Philippines. I was deeply moved by this montage but then suddenly, a short clip of the President's nephew drinking milk was shown. How the hell was it related? IT was an advertisement for heaven's sake. A child drinking milk could not solve the problems in the Philippines. Then, he presented a clip of the President eating hotdog. How will that help to feed the little children. At least the president is not eating at a fancy restaurant and charging the bill to the Filipino people.
Third, he presented that the Philippines has been a blind place of Child Abuse. I kind of agree to this.
Fourth, he showed that there are many accidents and death due to ignorance. And now the oligarchy is to be blamed here? If a man is drunk and had an accident the oligarchy is to be blamed? It's that man's fault. He did not become more careful. Or when a man crosses a busy street and got bumped, it's not the oligarchy's fault again. I wonder why all problems are directly blamed on the oligarchy.
Fifth, he showed about the oligarchy's money and power. Well, hands down to the maker of the video for thinking of this. It was another one which I agree with.
Sixth, poverty-driven criminals. Whoah. It's the people themselves who must be blamed for doing crimes due to poverty. They can find many sane jobs out there. If they were not able to be educated due to poverty, they can still find other crime-free jobs. There is a world of possibilities. There is no need to blame the oligarchy for this. As a matter of fact, doesn't he know that the government is doing its best ever since Aguinaldo to stop crime and to bring peace to the Philippine islands? It's the minds of the people that makes everything bad.
Seventh, Trigger-happy authorities. I agree to this. It needs to stop.
Eighth, endless hostages of the innocents. He presented clips of innocents being hostaged by terrorists and non-terrorists. Wait, whut? Terrorism has been a long time problem in the Philippines and in the world even before this oligarchy began. I do not get this at all. I do not get how the oligarchy is to be blamed again. I'm like, whoah?
Ninth, is breaking the law by all people. Okay, it should be stopped. But I guess it's the people themselves who need to change. They're the core reason for progress of the country. And I don't get why an accident is considered breaking the law.
Tenth, manhid people. Well, it's the fault of the people again. It's the fault of the oligarchy again? I'm getting tired already. Police men taking pictures in front of the hostage-taking at the Grandstand before, is the fault of the police men, not the oligarchy. But I guess it's partly the fault of media and the government. It has already been a long time issue. The wounds are slowly being healed.
Eleventh, life-long sorrow of the poor. The clips and photos were just so heart-swelling, the government needs to do something about this fast. And let all people help.
Okay, I'm not proud of the Philippines because of Manny Pacquiao and Charice only. And they are the only people he presented. Maybe he's only proud of Charice and Pacquaio. I am very much aware of the problems that we are struggling right now. But, it's not right that we only blame the oligarchy that has been in the Philippines for 25 years. Okay, the rich people are politicians. Who vote for them? Us. The Filipino people. Many people have no jobs. Who does not seek? Us. The Filipino people. We tend to lax and wait for help to come to us. The hell with the time the president works. Three hours?! Really?
I'm Proud to be a Filipino, no matter what that monkey said. Maybe he just wanted to be a president or something. I'm proud to be one and I'll carry this name wherever I go.
P.S.
Kudos to PinoyMonkeyPride for the prefect music, excellent editing, and the picture of Rizal was just excellent! I love it.
