Wherever you go, you are loved

I will remember you...

This day, I actually attended the Gratitude and Graduation Ball of the school. It's the night wherein tributes are given to the graduating batch. Supposedly, only the juniors and the seniors would go to the event, but since I'm an outgoing officer of our student council, I was invited. My brother, being a faculty, was also invited and he became one of the emcees of the night.

I will try dividing this day into two parts: one for what happened this morning; another for what happened tonight.

MORNING.

It was already the day of the event and my brother and I still got nothing to wear. So, amidst the heat of the sun, we hopped from one United Kingdom to another United Kingdom (if you know what I mean) searching for formal attire. We didn't have suits, and the event calls for us to SUIT UP! So, we went UK hopping. As they say, desperate times call for desperate measures

#funfact: It was my first time to enter into a UK. I have never been there before so it's a milestone for me to be able to enter a UK and buy something from it.

So, we were there, looking for coats. Of course, we were able to buy some, and I used that a while ago, but it took us more than an hour looking for clothes to wear. So I thought, will I be wearing a neck tie, or a bow tie? I bought a bow tie, but in the end, I used a necktie. My coat was heavy, but nevermind, better than nothing, right?

I also had an unexpected haircut a while ago. Indeed, I just had my hair trimmed from a barber last week, but since they would treat me, I grabbed the chance and had my short hair cut. I'm glad that they were able to fix my hair the way I like it. Well, with quality comes great price.

EVENING.

Everyone was very formal with their suits and gowns. Everyone was excited for another Graduation ball with the theme, “wherever you go, you are loved.” All of the fourth year students dressed their best because it was their last ball before they graduate. Everyone also brought with them their masks because tonight’s theme was Masquerade. I was lucky that I’ve suited up and I have a mask.

#funfact: everyone has a mask, but almost no one used them for the whole span of the night.

The events flowed well, thanks to my brother, who filled the missing pieces and mend the torn segments together with his ad libs. All of the students participated and danced well, thus the night became very joyous. I can say, almost everyone danced, and just about 5% are kill joys. Well, they did not ruin the night though.

There were some errs of the night like the video presentation I made was not in synch to the audio, the very late start of the program (Filipino Time, you cannot remove that from us), and the scanty food. But, all is well. I also received my award for being a member of the student council. I also received an award from the game, spot dance (although we somehow cheated a bit).

Everyone was dainty and high-class for the night, except for the parts when they play party songs and everyone gets wild. Girls would remove their heels and would strut on the dance floor. Some would even lose their heels. Hah hah.

We even invented a dance: GAMBLING DANCE. It’s so hard to explain but it’s very enjoyable to do!

Over all, I enjoyed this night, super. I super hope that next year would be the same. For that brief amount of time, I forgot all my problems. I was so stress-free. I was so relieved. Now the ball is over, it’s time to go back to reality.

To all the Seniors out there, wherever you are, you are loved. We will remember you. Happy Graduation!

<curse that lady who said that the song, “I will remember you,” by Sarah Mclachlan is such a bad song. You have no taste in music and you deserve to be punished so hard.>
