The Fourth Installment

Isn't it cool that I've finished the fourth season in less than a week? Hahaha. I mean it. I've finished the fourth season of How I Met Your Mother yesterday. There were many unsuspected twists and turns and obviously unobvious baby bumps covered by jackets or bags, or even tables.

So here it goes.

Season 4. 2008-2009. Great Year.

Ted Mosby (Theodor Evelyn Mosby to be exact) had just got the best thing he has heard in his life: a YES from his girlfriend Stella Zinman. He even got to the point of almost moving to New Jersey -- the place where Stella lives but the funny thing there is, Ted hates New Jersey so much. So anyway, that supposedly happily ever after didn't turn out well when Stella left him for Tony, her former boyfriend. Though he handled the breakup well, plenty things happened to him. He lost his job when Billson fired him for designing places which Billson doesn't like. So he started his own firm, "Mosbius Designs," with one other employee. But this firm never quite materialized much. He got to design a cowboy restaurant, but was taken over by the architects named, "SVEN," and I don't even know what that means. And yeah, this was the season of the goat. Ted was hospitalized again, for getting into a fight with the goat, on his 31th birthday.

Robin Scherbatsky (Robin Charles Scherbatsky Jr. to be exact) quits her job at Metro News 1 when she received a call for an audition. She tried her guts at a serious news station in Japan, but she instantly quit her job. Imagine her being paired up with a monkey. Psyched up when she received the news that she will be deported to Canada if she will not find a job, she gave in to Barney's suggestion of her making a video resume. It was a positive thing because this became her key to a morning show entitled, “Come on, Get up New York!” This season also, Robin shared the apartment with Ted. ‘Twas a very benefitting thing, if you know what I mean. A funny thing about her, she joined the Woooo Girls during the time she got no job.

Marshall Ericksen joins the Goliath National Bank after sometime of no job. There was this episode wherein he and the gang searched for the best burger in NY. After going to a lot of burger stores, they ended up in a small restaurant. Yeah. It was the most delicious episode so far. Try watching it and savor the taste of the burgers. There was also this episode wherein he and Robin went to a restaurant that was Minnesota-based. IT was his home away from home. He became the Sports guy at his work.

Lily Aldrin knew all about Barney's feelings to Robin and kept it a secret for a long time. She was the only person to whom she could say those things which he can't say to others. She and Marshall went to their crooked apartment already and began decorating them, while thinking of a possibility of having a baby. In the end, they didn't continue on having a baby. It was in this season wherein it was revealed that she was the reason for breaking up many or Ted's relationships. When Barney said a joke on her, it caused her an outrage that she did not appear at all. In real life, it is maybe because Alyson Hannigan was pregnant then, so they planned to cover this up.

Marshall and Lily had this ritual which was revealed this season. When one goes from a trip, they would always bring home a six pack of alcohol, whatever the brand. The twist in this episode was very great I was in awe.

Barney Stinson finally confessed his love for Robin to Lily, and later to Marshall. He started working at the Goliath National Bank because their company bought the bank. There's actually a website for it: goliathbank.com. He also made a holiday named Not a Father's Day after knowing that he was not a father from a girl she hang out with. This is the website actually: notafathersday.com. She also got a record of all the 200 women he slept with. He thought that Petra Petrova was his 200th, however, it turned out that that muscular girl was his 200th. Pity Barney. Hahah. He bragged this to his former classmate who used to bully him only to find out that he grew up and became awesome with just a lie of a 5th grade student. He also showed his video resume to the group: http://www.barneysvideoresume.com. Yeah. He made many websites this season. On the last episode, Barney and Robin kissed romantically, and thus their relationship started.

They ended the season with an awesome moment, they leaped from one building to another. It's more than just leaping. It's more of a symbolic act. As Lily put it,
"You can't design your life like a building. It doesn't work that way. You just have to live it and it will design itself...Listen to what the world is telling you to do and take the leap."

So, it all ends to Ted being a professor, Barney and Robin dating, and Marshall and Lily going stronger. Gosh, 5th season is so on right now.

P.S.
All my posts about HIMYM always have a video in it. This is for this season. This was sung when Stella and Ted talked at the car.
