Gametime! Presents: Pokemon Crystal

So I read somewhere that if you catch all three legendary beasts - Suicune, Entei, and Raikou - then you will be able to catch Ho Oh on Pokemon Crystal. I was bought with that statement, so I played the game.

Strolling through Johto brought back nostalgic moments when I was still young and so excited to finally see Pokemon in technicolor. New sets of Pokemon, new cities, I was so thrilled back then. And to play it again stirred my inner childhood.

So, what's new? For the first time in my life, I tried naming all of my Pokemon. Naming was difficult because I had to think of what suits them which should be personal and endearing to me. Also, for the first time, I finished Pokemon League without any Fire-type Pokemon. Crazy or what! I just cannot spot a Ponyta or a Growlithe roaming around. I did not take Cyndaquil as my started because I always had it as my started ever since (never tried Chikorita, and I only tried Totodile once) so I took a grass type Pokemon.

Here is my team which stood the test of time, or not (Pokemon Crystal sprites not mine)

Frederick (Red Gyarados) - lvl. 42
 Mortimer (Meganium) - lvl. 41
Pancho (Graveler) - lvl. 41
Chloe (Fearow) - lvl. 42
Zapper (Magneton) - lvl. 44
Swagger (Suicune) - lvl. 45

After finishing the whole game without cheats, I used Gameshark to catch all of the legendary Pokemons of the Johto region and they became my team. I easily finished the Pokemon League twice because of them. Hahaha. Here they are: (sprites not mine)

Swagger Jr. (Suicune) - lvl. 85
Bulkan (Entei) - lvl. 86
Cory (Raikou) - lvl. 85
Diva (Lugia) - lvl. 85
Nicki (Ho-Oh) - lvl. 85
Bea (Celebi) - lvl. 85

So there's my two teams. My primary goal was not actually fulfilled. I had fun though.
