2012: What a Year This Was

The year of 2012 has been a blast. I found this year one of the most challenging years of my life for a whole lot of reasons. Let's wrap up this year 2012, then.

Euphoric Moment:

Dysphoric Moment:
December 13, 2012. The day our pet cat, Michelle, was found lying on our floor, dead.

Most Epic Moment:

Most Embarrassing Moment:

Most Mysterious Moment:

Photo of the Year:
Here are my top Three Photos of the Year.
[1]
Me on the see-saw. Spell nostalgia. You think I was having fun? I'm kinda. Haha. This is my top photo of the year. Having many likes on Facebook, I also think this is funny too.
[2]
From our acquaintance party which was cosplay, this photo of ours was the "almost complete" ensemble of the SOS Brigade. I was Kyon during that time.

Who would not consider this a photo of the year? You having a picture taken with a very pretty girl. Right? Right? From our field trip at Manila. She was a tour guide at SPUM. Ugh. Gorgeous.

Movie of the Year:
My movie of the year is Michael Gondry's Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004). Everything is perfect: the cast, the direction, the cinematography, the story. Oh the story! Very good twist. Jim Carrey became one of my favorite actors because of this movie. Haha

Music of the Year:
Personally, Jessica Sanchez' rendition of Everybody Has a Dream caught my ears and tug my heartstrings the most of all the songs released this year. It's so heartfelt I never stopped listening from her song. Actually, on my iTunes, it's my most listened song. "Everybody has a Dream," she sang, "and this is my dream, my own: just to be at home and to be all alone with you."

Owl City's Metropolis from the album The Midsummer Station is a runner up. The song Dreams and Disasters follows after.

Album of the Year:
Owl City's The Midsummer Station has been the best album I've heard this year. Although I do not consider it his best album, it contained many good songs which I often listen to. As a matter of fact, I bought one when we went for a field trip to Subic. Metropolis is my favorite song from the album though Good Time featuring Carly Rae Jepsen is deemed the most popular.

Taylor Swift's Red is a runner-up.

Book of the Year:
For me, the best book that I've read this year is Yann Martel's Life of Pi. It's a very breath-taking book and a page turner, it even stays beside me as I sleep. It explores the life of Piscine Molitor Patel or better known as Pi and his adventures after the shipwreck. After it, he is accompanied by a 450-pound Bengal Tiger named Richard Parker as they sailed aimlessly at the Pacific Ocean. That great twist at the end made me favor this book among others. It was such a great surprise I took me long to internalize it. Haha.

Runner up is Suzanne Collins' Catching Fire, the second book of the The Hunger Games series.

New Year's Resolution:
My 2013 Bucketlist include:
1. Lovelife
2. Lovelife
3. Good health
4. Good grades
5. Lovelife

Hahaha

Expectations of 2013:

Sunday, December 9, 2012

A ruined man's dream constantly
riveting the portals of insanity
has brought a seaming montage
of distorted thoughts. An espionage
has risen, uprising inside his mind
where happiness, he can not find.
He struggles amid the joy around
him though desperation has abound
his own reason. Amongst his frivolous
thoughts, he believes he is marvelous.
But to say he is good, fine and okay
is a pretty dull thing to even say.
